Our Mission

Homeschool In the Valley seeks to be a resource for the parents/teachers of homeschool students.  We are becoming a wide community of caregivers who have experienced insight and advice to offer to new homeschool parents as well as a forum to discover new methods to help seasoned homeschool leaders navigate new challenges.

On our resources page you will find links to helpful information about homeschooling in general as well as information specific to the Roaring Fork Valley.

Homeschool in the Valley is separate from the Valley Co-Op.  Homeschool in the Valley is primarily a resource website for homeschoolers, focusing on the parents/teachers and student/family resources.  The Valley Co-Op is a group that meets in person during the school year to provide extra-curricular activities for homeschool students.

If you would like to learn more about or register for the Valley Co-Op, which meets twice a month during the school year in Carbondale, CO, click here.

PLEASE NOTE THAT REGISTRATION FOR THE 2024-25 SCHOOL YEAR IS CLOSED

"I WASN'T HAPPY WITH WHERE MY KIDS WERE AT AND WE CAN'T AFFORD PRIVATE SCHOOL...BUT I WAS AT A LOSS AT WHERE TO START WITH HOMESCHOOLING.  THE OTHER MOMS AT THE VALLEY CO-OP HAVE BEEN SUCH AN ENCOURAGEMENT AND SOURCE OF INFO-I AM SO GRATEFUL FOR THEM!"
